The M.Tech(VLSI System Design) was started in the year 2012 with an intake of 18 students. The intake was subsequently increased to 60 students in the year 2009.

The importance of electrical engineering was recognized only in the 19th century. In most cases, both of these disciplines are offered through a combined course of study.Electrical engineers are responsible mainly for power generation and power transmission. It has been known in the past to encompass electronic engineering, which has obtained an identity of its own only in the recent years.
